The legend of Lorelei states that she stood on the cliffs of the Rhine River,
betrayed by the man she loved, and found revenge by taking the lives of those
who looked upon her. She stood tall and beautiful, singing out to the sailors as
they turned toward the treacherous rocks to their deaths. However, finding no
peace in their demise, she placed her feet at the end of the cliff, diving head
first into the water -- hoping to end her own life.
But there is no peace for her, as she does not die. Instead, she is pulled
toward a warm light, with the promise of redemption in her hands. Her long blond
locks turn raven black, as she emerges from the cold depths of the ocean -- only to find herself on beautiful Prince Edward Island in Canada. She is deafened by the cries for help, and the sounds of lost or betrayed love. She knows what she must do. She must make amends for those lives she has taken in vain, by teaching a young woman about life, death, and love.

--This is a compelling coming of age and romance story, capturing both the funny reflections of a young girl coming to terms with a five leaf clover to the harried thoughts of a mother trying to protect her baby from harm. The author has a good eye for detail and her gentle humor brings the characters to life as they struggle to overcome their adversities. --Audrey Lawrence, the Romance Studio
--Haunting is but one word to describe this story, another is unforgettable. I found Lorelei to be a fascinatingly inspiring book that dealt not only with hope but also with overwhelming love. Being haunted by a legend, Amanda has always known that someone was watching over her but never knew whom. And even though it is not till near the end of the book Amanda realizes that she has a guardian spirit I found it absolutely astonishing. Following Amanda throughout her childhood and experiencing the highs and lows of her life I was totally engrossed in her story. Discovering that love does not always go to plan, I loved her relationships with the men in her life. I was emotionally drained by the heartaches she felt but also ecstatic when she finds the love that was meant for her. I cannot praise more highly this book that Ms. Bingley has written except to say, go out and buy it. It will make even the most hardened romantic emotional. --- Sheryl, eCataRomance reviews
