ne of the better mysteries I've read in a long time partly because Brooke is personally involved and has a "never quit" attitude no matter the danger level. There is a strong pull toward solving several mysteries, which are interlocked into one conclusion. Lots of twists to complicate things. Each chapter lures you deeper into the story, which has a very real feel to it. That alone can scare the hell out of you. Brief setting description provides you with a sense of place. Character attitude is far stronger. Dialogue flows well and I couldn't find any gaping holes in the plot that left me wondering what had happened. The writing featured what needed to be stated only. So many books offer you the same thought or information that it's engraved in your memory. I enjoyed reading this e-book as well as Lori's other novel, "One Eye in the Darkness".

To say this book was suspenseful is an understatement. I totally enjoyed A SISTER'S SECRET from start to finish, with all the twists and turns it was a really well written story. I loved Matthew and his uncompromising demeanor, he was an Alpha male brought to life while Brooke was unable to let anything pass her by until she uncovered all it’s secrets. All of
Lori Derby Bingley's characters including the secondary ones were great and really made the book come alive. If you love romantic suspense with plenty of twists then

----A SISTER’S SECRET is a tight mystery
with so many twists and turns as to make it impossible to predict the end, a
quality rarely found in mysteries these days. It is a refreshing love story with
sweltering love scenes that weave into the storyline rather than distract from
it and nail-biting suspense that keeps the reader turning pages. Ms. Bingley is
a master of ending chapters with a bang, keeping her readers up all night,
unable to put the book down.
Ms. Bingley creates characters in Brooke, Jeremy, and Matthew, as well as
others, who are engaging and clearly likeable or hated. Using this ability, she
deftly throws the reader off the track of the real killer by skillfully pointing
questioning fingers throughout the novel. A true romance to the end, she creates
chemistry and tension between Brooke and Matthew that have the reader crossing
her fingers in hopes that the two of them will end up together.
A SISTER’S SECRET is a great summer read, full of suspense and mystery,
and chilling till the very end.

A SISTER'S SECRET was a very good suspense book; it kept me guessing all the way through to the end. I never knew who the good guy or the villain was untill the end. I enjoyed the book very much I would recommend it to all of my friends.

Fraternity is an intense, evocative, mesmerizing saga of anguish,
tragedy, and treachery. Lori Derby Bingley adeptly renders the story of
Samantha and Ron’s attraction and love throughout Fraternity. I
could not put the book down.
The characters throughout Fraternity were believable and fully
developed, no matter how small their part was. In one scene, I was yelling
at the character to not go there, to go back, that she did not know what
she was doing! I love when a book captivates me so much that I am talking
to and relating to its characters. I eagerly await Lori Derby Bingley’s
next book. -

--Lori Derby Bingley has penned a fantastic mystery in Fraternity with secrets that blackmail their protectors and also the knowledge to kill. I cannot say which part of this book I loved most but one of the highlights would have been the fraternity initiation of Ron, that part was highly comical. Although there were some funny passages in Fraternity, it also dealt with a dark hidden side. The intense nature of the killer's revenge for those wronged and also her loss of reality also made Fraternity an intriguing, on the edge of your seat, chilling thriller. Fraternity is a book that needs to be read to experience the mysterious, disturbing emotions of every character in it, even the victims. --Ms. Bingley did a good job with this story. She pulls you right into the suspense from the opening chapter with a protagonist so creepy that you'll want to double check the door locks. And, Ms. Bingley doesn't drop the tension.
FRATERNITY is a quick and interesting read. The romance between Samantha and Ron sort of took back seat to the action, which was fine because I got caught up in the murders. There goes my sinister side showing again.

----This book was an
exceptional read. One that I could relate to, especially with Amanda and her
grandmother. The first three chapters had me spellbound. I had to find out what
other events would bring so much anxiety to Amanda and how she would outgrow
them. I cheered with her when she found happiness and cried when she was
troubled. I was there with Carl in the hospital, feeling his pain, and what
Amanda was going through. The storyline with Gabe and the baby was written
so beautifully it brought on tears.
Ms. Bingley allows us, through her writing, to feel what the characters are
experiencing. She makes everything breathe on paper and come to life. I
could relate to this story in so many ways. I loved the part where she wanted to
ask Lynne the questions about giving birth. Thank you, Ms. Bingley, for writing
a wonderful story that touches the heart in so many ways and has one begging for
more with each turn of the page. This book is definitely a keeper. I couldn’t
put it down. Truly superb! A beautifully written story where every word is worth
reading many times over. This is truly a wonderful book by a gifted writer that
continues to live on in your heart.

And even though it is not till near the end of the book Amanda realizes that she has a guardian spirit I found it absolutely astonishing. Following Amanda throughout her childhood and experiencing the highs and lows of her life I was totally engrossed in her story. Discovering that love does not always go to plan, I loved her relationships with the men in her life. I was emotionally drained by the heartaches she felt but also ecstatic when she finds the love that was meant for her. The turmoil in Amanda Harris's life is something we've all shared or lived through in some way, shape or form. In fact, I saw quite a bit of myself (or former self) in Ms. Bingley's strong-yet-fragile heroine, a young woman aching for -- and needing -- more than she dares to let herself experience. Fear of loss can be a great inhibitor; and a great excuse to run and hide from unwanted emotion. Amanda's love interest, Gabe, isn't without blame, but Lorelei is Amanda's story, Amanda's awakening, Amanda's drawn-out struggle with frightening, bewildering and conflicting emotional issues.
All told, this is a sweet but melancholy story; an introspective, insightful and involving account of the strength found in tragedy and the hope found in love. While the plot isn't a bed of roses, readers will eventually follow Lori Derby Bingley's protagonist up, up, up into the light, where a comforting hand is offered and happiness is finally attainable...if you'll just let the spirit move you.

for years to come. She really grew on me as the book unfolded, and I found
myself rooting for her to grab onto life with both hands. Her pain inspired
sympathy, and the success that she finds really helped her to grow as an
individual. Supporting characters serve only to enhance and round out this
emotional tale of Amanda and her life’s path. While a little lengthy, Lorelei
was well-crafted and inspiring. Lori Derby Bingley wraps the ghostly
legend into this story in a seamless fashion and draws readers along with her to
a happily ever after. -

It is an incredibly rich tale and Ms. Bingley has the unique gift of returning the reader to various times in his or her own lives. The reader will find himself or herself recalling their first day of high school, that first car, cramming for a midterm and that first kiss. The characters have a depth to them that make them believable making you want to see how their story will be played out. --One Eye in the Darkness is a fabulous thriller! There were enough suspects to keep the reader wondering at who the villain truly was throughout the entire story. Yet it was never overcomplicated or overcrowded with too many characters. And I have to say that I’m a sucker for a white knight. Jordan was perfectly portrayed as one for Cassie’s damsel in distress. The sparks flew off the pages when they were together!
Having never read anything by Lori Derby Bingley before, I was unsure what to expect. I was most definitely impressed! This story contains everything I love about a great story: romance, sexual sparks, and a good mystery thrown in the mix.
